369th Infantry Regiment, the 'Harlem Hellfighters

African-American soldiers in WWI were segregated in the US Army & often put into French regiments, where they served with distinction. The most famous was the 369th Infantry Regiment, the 'Harlem Hellfighters,' the first Allied soldiers to reach the Rhine.
